Romanian Schools Get New IT Operating Environment

The Ministry of Education, Research and Youth seeks to provide all Romanian students with quality learning experiences. However, in rural areas, existing IT systems—or a lack of them—hindered secure access to modern educational software and content for students and teachers. Working with Microsoft® Gold Certified Partner SIVECO Romania, and Microsoft Services, the ministry started to roll out IT systems for schools based on Windows Vista® Business operating system, the 2007 Microsoft Office system, and the SIVECO AeL learning and content management system. The transformation programme is highly effective, with schools equipped with the new technologies in less than one day due to sophisticated imaging techniques. Head teachers in the IT-refreshed schools are delivering improved educational outcomes, and students find lessons more stimulating and interesting compared to classic pedagogy. read more
